The Daedalus Quartet
A year after its founding, the Daedalus Quartet won the Grand Prize in the Banff International String Quartet Competition. For the 2005 through 2007 seasons it was appointed Chamber Music Society Two quartet at Lincoln Center. Its debut CD featured works of Ravel, Sibelius, and Stravinsky. The Daedalus is acclaimed for performances of contemporary music of Carter, Perle, Kurtág, and Ligeti. |
